What to Expect:

  • Ease In & Connect → Start your morning with a light breakfast, laughter and a grounding practice of your choice (gentle yoga or mindful breathing).
  • Playful Workshops → Engage in guided sessions like Navigating Conflict with Love and Active Listening in Action to deepen understanding and communication.
  • Choose Your Flow* → After lunch, spend the afternoon your way with options like Reiki, Sound Therapy, Vibroacoustic therapy or creative reflection experiences. (see more information about these services below)
  • Real Talk & Reflection → Close the day with compassion-focused dialogue, boundaries practice and a connection ritual designed to bring you closer—mind, body and heart.
  • Keep the Spark Alive → End the evening with a group dinner (optional), shared gratitude and take-home practices to keep the playfulness going.

Seriously Playful: A Day for Connection, Curiosity, and Chemistry

An immersive one day retreat designed for both couples and individuals

What if tending to your relationships felt less like work and more like coming home? This relational retreat is designed to support connection in all its forms, romantic, familial, platonic, and personal. Through guided experiences and mindful moments of interaction, you’ll explore how stress and habit quietly shape the way we relate, and what changes when curiosity, presence, and emotional safety are restored. You don’t need to attend with a partner or define your relationship; individuals and couples are equally welcome in this open, human-centered space.

The retreat takes place on February 21st, 2026 from 9 am to 5 pm with an optional group dinner after the event at Center Street, a warm and welcoming community space in Orlando, FL, thoughtfully designed to support relaxation, learning and connection.  Center Street does provide accommodations for those needing to travel or wanting to stay at this amazing location – see below for more information. 

Early Bird Pricing!  $222 per person/$444 per couple through February 14th, 2026

Reiki is a gentle Japanese energy healing practice that channels universal life force to restore balance, ease stress, and support physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being.

Sound therapy uses healing vibrations from music and instruments to relax the body, calm the mind and restore emotional and spiritual balance.

Vibroacoustic therapy uses low-frequency sound waves to calm the nervous system, reduce physical tension and support cellular healing.

Late Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that life happens—and while we hope you’re able to attend, here’s our policy to ensure fairness and clarity for all participants:

Cancellations made 30+ days before the retreat: You’ll receive a full refund, minus any processing fees.

Cancellations made within 15- 30 days of the retreat: You are eligible for a 50% refund.

Cancellations made less than 14 days before the retreat: Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund due to pre-scheduled meals, materials, and services. However, you may transfer your spot to another couple with advance notice.

No-shows or same-day cancellations: Are non-refundable.

*We deeply value the energy and care that goes into preparing this retreat. Your understanding allows us to honor both your time and ours, as well as the wellness providers supporting this experience.

About Your Facilitators

Dr. Elizabeth Bendick

Dr. Bendick is a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania and Florida with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from William James College. Her work focuses on how stress, habit, and emotional safety shape the way we relate—to others and to ourselves. With deep experience in trauma recovery, relational dynamics, and self-worth, she brings a grounded, compassionate presence to spaces where connection can feel tender, stuck, or strained.
 
At this retreat, Dr. Bendick will support participants through guided, experiential practices that invite curiosity, attunement, and genuine human connection. Her approach emphasizes emotional safety, creativity, and humor—helping individuals and couples soften defensiveness, notice relational patterns, and reconnect in ways that feel real and sustainable. As part of The Mindful Prof and The Mindful Corporation team, she bridges clinical insight with accessible, lived experience, creating inclusive, non-pathologizing spaces where meaningful connection can unfold naturally.

Dr. Kelsey Evans-Amalu

Currently is based in the greater Central Florida area bringing holistic healing services to people in need. Dr. K. is a small business owner and serves as researcher, yoga and meditation instructor, and somatic educator to private clients, corporate offices, and k-12 schools and universities. She is experienced with working with varied clientele including past instruction of high-performance athletes (the WWE, Orlando City Soccer, Orlando Pride, etc.) to mental health providers and services (National Alliance on Mental Illness, National Eating Disorder Awareness, etc.).

PhD in Education, Masters in Education, 500 Hour E-RYT, Kids Yoga Certified, Trauma Yoga Certified, Certified Meditation Teacher, Reiki Certified, Hypnosis Certified., Certified Professional Life Coach.

He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH11867). He completed an undergraduate degree in Social Studies Education in Texas before continuing his Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Webster University in Geneva, Switzerland. Zac’s philosophy was heavily influenced by Carl Jung in Switzerland. Zac is not the typical psychotherapist though. He has a track record of being both pragmatic and person centered. The goals of the client are always the highest priority. Zac has experience helping people work through many difficult issues, but he has most of his experience and training in the areas of Trauma/PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), Anxiety/Stress, HIV/AIDS, ADHD, Substance use, and other Addictions.

Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Mindfulness Based Techniques, Couples Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Children and Adults with ADHD, HIV/AIDS Counseling, Techniques of Crisis Intervention, The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs: PTSD and Substance use course & PTSD and Military Sexual Trauma course.

The Mindful Prof curates and facilitates transformative wellness experiences that blend mindfulness, embodiment, yoga, and meditation to foster deep connection—within yourself and with others. 

From intimate workshops to multi-day retreats, each gathering is rooted in evidence-based practices and designed to support nervous system regulation, stress relief, and personal renewal.
